Leonard Cohen 'Dear Heather'

Deserves a thread of its own I think. A development from 'Ten New Songs', with rich and wry lyrics, Sharon Robinson's voice shimmering in the background and two or three tracks of almost spoken-word poetry (not all his own).

His voice is now a thing of wonder. Who says SBL's do not have bass.

Much better than 10 new songs. He seems to have made much more effort this time and explored interesting new directions of production. Backing singers take more of a role on this album. Some tracks very redolent of earlier stuff on 'Recent Songs'. All in all a return to his best as far as I'm concerned having been rather unimpressed with his last 2 offerings.
