Online interference

Guys, can anyone help with this?

When I'm online I'm getting an occasional 'Plop' sound, like a big drop of water falling into a bucket! None of my anti-virus stuff has picked up anything.

Any ideas. It's like chinese water torture (I guess that's the idea...)

kaspersky av makes that sound when it updates.

Go to control panel, sounds and audio devices and then select the sounds tab. In the program events for windows there is one called "Internet Alert". Click on it and then select (None) from the drop down menu.
