Differences between Arkiv "A" and Arkiv "B"

What are the differences between The original Arkiv and the newer one. I have the original that has been rebuilt by Linn. When it comes time to rebuild again, are the differences great enough to consider going to the Arkiv "B"?

I hate seeing unanswered posts
The B has a boron cantilever and a different non glued stylus.
?differences in the internals.
Apparently reasonable sonic difference and it tracks better

Jay--

Richard has it--the cantilever is boron on the Arkiv B vs aluminum on the original. I believe the cartridge is identical otherwise.

Musically and sonically it is a rather grand step forward--one of the best cartridges I have heard (and I have heard WAY too many !). Worth the money if the table and arm are up to it.

Cheers,

Bob

Linn LP 12. Ekos, Arkiv A, Lingo, Linto, Naim CD 5, High-cap, Spectral DMC 12 LS, Spectral DMA 90 Amp, Dynaudio 1.8 Mk II. Based on the system, would it justify the Arkiv "B".

Jay--

You'll get zero argument from me ! The Arkiv B into the Linto should leave the Arkiv A in the dust by a fair margin.

Happy New Year !

Bob

PS--Have you tried any Naim electronics ?--I'm remembering you asked how high you'd have to go to beat your Spectral gear.‡

Bob: I heard the top of the line Naim equipment and it did better my spectral gear. The mid/lower level Naim gear would be a Horizontal Switch so why do it and loose Money. I did replace my Thiel speakers with Dynaudio Contour 1.8's though. R U Familiar with them?
