Voting, the party or the person?
Posted by: Roy T on 10 June 2004
Just voted this afternoon, I filled in my three returns, did my duty and started thinking about what I had done. I was not worried about my selection but the idea of voting for a party and no a person seemed a bit wrong to me. I'm not too sophisticated when it comes to politics and voting for the person who says what I want to hear is ok by me but voting for a party that promulgates a few ideas that I can not support seems a bit like giving them a blank cheque, abetting in a con trick or worse.
So who gets my vote next time, the party or the person?

Definitely the person(in charge!)

I fail to find any single reason why anyone would want Mayor Ken to carry on.

You can sleep easy John. Tony Blair says:
"It's me who in a sense has had to eat some humble pie and say that someone I thought would be a disaster for London hasn't been a disaster,"
That should be enough to turn the voters away from Ken.

John, Not living in London I have to ask.
Why do you think the Livingstone Mayorship has been such a disaster? I have to say, that everyone I speak to in London has been quite positive about his period as Mayor.
Apart from Pigeons that is...
