Giorgio is a young, talented guitarist whose mastery of the guitar is evident in this debut release on The Naim Label.
Featuring mainly self-penned tracks and Giorgio's own arrangements of "Frere Jacques" and "Moon River", New York Sessions is a beautiful sounding album from a polished jazz quartet.
Giorgio's name may be familiar to some as the second guitarist in Antonio Forcione's quartet and, indeed, Giorgio appeared on "Touch Wood", Antonio's last album for the label.
Giorgio has played with a number of well respected musicians including Shirley Bassey, Andy Sheppard and Julian Lloyd Webber to name a few. Bassist, Harvie Swartz is perhaps best known for his series of duet recordings and performances with singer Sheila Jordan. He has studied classical guitar with Marco Meloni and jazz with John Scofield, amongst others.
