NAC 72

I read somewhere on the forum that Naim were soon to stop producing the 72. Is this true, and if so does anyone know anything of its replacement?

Cheers

the 52 replaced the 72 many years ago.

More recently, the 102 is seen as a replacement, though not for the 52.

i was really wondering if the 72 is going out of production, and if there was going to be a replacement closer in price than the 52! (can't quite stretch to £5500 for a pre-amp just yet)

Matt -

This is a quote from the 112/150 thread by Paul Stephenson of Naim:

quote:

The 112/150 will be the top of the range in the 5 series. They basically replace the 92/90. The 140 remains but the 72 vanishes as the 102 has taken all these sales. The 102/180 is a better combo than the 112/150.

Looks like the 72 is history.
