What was No 1 when you were born?

Just tap in your date of birth at this site

Benny Hill was No 1 with 'Ernie, the Fastest Milkman in the West' when I appeared.

Cool or what!

Chirpy chirpy cheep cheep by middle of the road.

So should I make myself a year younger or older I wonder, cant change the day and month, that would be far to confusing.

The number 1 on the day I was born was Yellow Submarine / Eleanor Rigby by The Beatles.

Does this come with bonus FEPs, or a fab haircut?

I tried to find out what was number 1 when I was born but the site is so snowed under it's gonna be out of action for a day or two. I wonder what album was top of the chart in the same week.

Stefano,

I have never heard the song either, but looking at the title, you just know it's going to be awful.

I guess there's always the new spin on this ... what was no. 1 on conception date might be more appropriate?

1/2/73 gives for me "Blockbuster" by "The Sweet"

Could be worse, I'm sure some unlucky 6 year old has "Mr Blobby" by "Mr Blobby!!

Taking Rico's pointer about conception dates, I've now found out that my parents were bumping and grinding ( ) to 'Baby Jump' by Mungo Jerry. Who says Music doesn't have an influence on our lives?!

Is this US or UK chart ?
Posted on: 04 October 2000 by Ian P
Jonathan,

Glad to see you've discarded the anorak (almost).

A friend thought he knew the UK no.1 when he was born, but this didn't come up, which is why I was asking.

Out of interst there must be other sites listing UK no.1s - anyone know ?

That must be heartening news for Jaguar XJ6/XJ12/XJC/XJ40 drivers everywhere. I mean, this means there will be an increasing demand for these geezer vehicles!

I am back from Hols and very fed up........I want to go back to the sun.

I was created in 1948 and this useless little programme stops at 1952.

I notice that all you lot were born when I was in my teens. That explains quite a lot.

I am over fifty, run a Jaguar XJC and I still don't know who was No1 on my D.O.B which is 31.12.48. Anyone able to come up with an answer.

Regards

Mick

I too was born so long ago that this site can't tell me what was No. 1 on Nov. 6, 1947. No wonder my girlfriend calls me "Old Man"! But now I've just got to find out what was No. 1 in the U.S. back then. Anyone have any idea how I can find out?

Are they one and the same person?

Chirpy cheep cheep was even worse than you imagine - and it was played incessantly for weeks on the radio etc.

Long John Baldry I quite liked

It was 'I believe' by Frankie Laine, I think I'm going to be sick.

Then I thought, ah, but I bet there was something cool at no.1 in the States, only to be told that the day I was born is not a valid date...
