I really like the look of your set up. Very clean. I've never used or heard a Townsend front end. It looks as though you can't really be in a hurry to listen to an LP, i.e., move the trough, remove the clamp, put on the LP, clamp it, move the trough, etc...

My second system, original Rega Planet, Crimson 610C / 620K, Omega Grande 6 speakers . Ics are 47 labs OTA & Luminous Audio , Audioquest Type 4 connecting the speakers.

Omega Grande 6 speakers !
Where do you find these beauties in Germany ? And - what other speakers did they win the battle agaist ? What music do you play through them ?

I bought them in the US, in New Jersey at hudsonaudio.net to be exact, and they are my first single driver speakers. I did not test them against any other speakers, as home demos are close to impossible in NYC, but the raving reviews made me curious enough to take chances and buy them for my apartment there.

That said, my first impression ,after listening to them for a week , drivers not broken in yet, is that there is a dedicated community of single driver lovers for a reason; after returning to Germany, and listening to my much more sophisticated system over here, I noticed the annoying influence of a crossover...

If you are interested in those speakers, email Louis , the maker of the Omegas; he's a very pleasant person to deal with.

Those are the 16 mono amplifiers. A google image search on Neat Elite shows the same amps with Elite S.E.'s. It's a shame the Elites (and other Neats) aren't much bigger and impressive looking as I'd bet dollars to donuts that the incomparable Mick Parry would love what they do with Sarah B...

the combo makes me happy, especially since i've just added a DV XV-1s cartridge. scott nailed the applification, they're mono amps. i haven't tried bi-amping, and probably won't, since another pair of 16 mono's would be hard to come by, and i just don't want floor to ceiling equipment racks .

it's great to hear from you too scott. the best to you and your family. i think that's a safe bet, since the neat's fall somewhere in the isobaric-NBL spectrum. aren't donuts about a buck these days anyway .

Cant post on the Home Theatre forum so here's a little pic of my home theatre. Not a naim box in sight but my stereo system is full blown naim.

Clear the shelf above your CDX2 of junk before moving the player up to occupy the freed space.

The now empty shelf between the player and your amps beneath will then provide a gap between the brawn and the brain to improve the performance of your system.

Just try it - it will cost nothing other than a few minutes of your time.

I'm rather pleased that you responed positively to my suggstion to move the CDX2 up a shelf and clear out the junk. I was just dipping my toe in the water there, so to speak.

In reality to really push the boat out wrt performance, a total reorganization of your equipment placing on your two Qs racks would be in order, if you don't mind me saying so.

On the LH rack you should put all your brain components - LP12 then CDX2 beneath etc and all the brawn components on the RH rack.

Having said that, your Exposure pre ( also a brain component) will also enjoy being placed on the other top shelf...

Have a play - it won't cost you a penny, but the musical uplift may yet prove to be the equivalent at least of a 2k box upgrade.

I say this because I just saw your picture on page 28 and you appear to have the same flooring, settee, hifi cabinet (2x Corras?), internal door, christmas tree (except ours is half that size), colour scheme and similar table, chairs and picture arrangements.

Gave me a right shock when I first saw it. Bit of a Twighlight Zone moment there

My sistem (P9/D103R/CD2/72/Hi/140/IBL and CDX for testing)needs new stands as you can see.
Does anyone sell audiotechs in the same height?
I dont like placement on top of each other but prefer side by side.
After moving the speakers from the front wall to the side wall (room size is 480 x 290 cm) I could hear a far better result in soundstage description and bass reproduction as well as in a more natural detail and timing.
Sorry for drifting into another topic but I just thought this might be of interst.
