It's about 3,750 to 4,000 LPs overall. Plus about 1,500 CDs.
The radiator is certainly not in use!!!

Classic vinyl system Kevin - I've always thought HB1's sound good with a vinyl source.
Have you ever experimented with getting your equipment off that steel Sound Org table?

Some "audiophiles" will say "it's all about the music," then you go over to their place and they've got this skimpy music collection. Kevin-W has proven that Naim owners know "it's about the music." Kudos Kevin!

Those HB1s will soon be 21 years old, and they're still going strong! They can be a bit aggressive with CD, but they sound great with vinyl, particularly in the context of this system. When my dealer came round in '03 to set up my newly-rebuilt LP12, he remarked how balanced the whole thing was, and what a high boogie factor it had!
I haven't experimented with getting the gear off the SO racks, I'm sure it will make a difference, but I just haven't got any money at present to go spending on new hi-fi furniture...

At some point over the last 30 years, I guess 98% of them have been listened to at least once. Virtually everything I've listened to I can remember, although you sometimes forget how good (or, occasionally, bad) something is. The best thing about having a reasonably large collection is the fact that when people come round, you can surprise them with something new. Playing records then becomes a journey, with all kinds of diversions and blind alleys.
Although I do enjoy listening to music on my own, i really enjoy sharing discoveries and favourites with other people. Music's a bit like wine really, it's best enjoyed in the company of friends.

Hi there,
Here's my humble but yet very musical system which didn't cost too much. I made the rack myself, a TNT clone, with added glass shelves on ball nuts. As you can see, I have 4 wall sockets hardwired from a dedicated spur/earth circuit. NACA5 and Chord interconnects.

I had HB1's (bought in 1983/1984 from KJ Leisuresound in Uxbridge) in my first serious system. LP12-LVX-K18/NAC42N/NAP110/NACA4
I did enjoy them alot back in those days but found them quite bright and thin in the highs.
