new to vinyl also, so hence the project.i didn't want to spend too much just incase i didn't like the vinyl sound, but guess what? i do!! had it for 3 months now, amazed that a t/t the price of a night out on the beer can sound this good.
as soon as i accumulate more lp's i will prob upgrade, but for now, it'll do just dandy.

Meridian components compliment Naims well. I had a Meridian 206 CDP as well 2 years ago. Had to sell it to finance for a Lingo 2. :-)

Well, until I get a camera you'll have to use your imagination to combine my three units together (It's the source that's naim, and very minimalist.....my av system is totally seperate) (Chord Co.cabling throughout, crappy glass/metal rack (jamo), wilmslow sub and old target stands not shown)

Very nice, but the power supply below the 500 will be killing the sound. You need an empty shelf!!

More Fraim is on my wish list for this year along with a seperate line and sound dampening. I was going to buy some stuff for the wall but my wife was not with me and I knew I could not pick anything out on my own! BTW, she was the one who insisted on the Fraim.

Are those Avallon speakers?

Yes, they are the Ascendants. They are outstanding at the end of the 500 in my small room, 12ft by 13ft. As they were described in HiFi+, they allow the Naim sound to come through effortlessly. Great imaging and extension of bass. I had Quad 988's that were suggested by two Naim dealers and while they were great for detail and transparency, they could not be driven hard.

Following helpful advice from Mr Halibut (which you can read here) on how to post images on the forum, I've finally managed to post some images of my system.

Nice, clean lines with the Ikea units Jack. I'm thinking of buying one of the Corras units for housing my NAT 101 and its SNAPS (out of fraim-space and funds at the moment;-)

Are you using the supplied castors or did you convert the Corras units to spikes?

The only problem with the Corras is that you can't buy spare shelves. So there's no prize for guessing how many Corras units I own. Still, at £19 each it's quite affordable when compared to the cost of other racks.

No problems yet with heat dissipation that I'm aware of. It's a shame that the 135s don't have a little LED on the front which lets you know when the cooling fan is on.
