You open up a whole bucket of questions, Edouard (when I should have left to the office, already...), but here we go: (the short version):

Yes, I love my "sound". The "break even" was reached when I ditched 112/150. Everythign after that was great already, with small, but enjoyable steps towards Nirvana (well documented in those various thread, here...)

I'm SO biased with the Cremonas, that it's not a good idea to ask me about them. My answers will always be exaggerated. Again, teh short version: Overwhelming.

They are actually not THAT tall (110 cm), but a bit heavy.

Now, the most difficult one: Taste in music. Dig into the "what's the last CD you bought" thread of the last six months or so, and you'll see what I've bought (All Jazz purchases, most classix, some of the few "other", in there. I have abandoned the tread, now. No point.) My CD's are mostly contemporary Jazz. "Classic" wise, I'm digging for both contemporary stuff and pre-classical period (that is early baroque and pre-baroque).

Vampyria I got some 1/2" SS BBs from Wyco 01403 240000. Can't remember the price but only a few pence each I bought a dozen , I don't if there is a minimum order or if they do Mail order. Not sure if they have any other branches.

No problem . . . The ball bearings were actually a bit of a bugger to source but actually came from Hamley's toy store. Ball bearings are widely used on traditional games!

They sit on an M10 nut from Sainsbury's Homebase.

Fine workmanship considering you made them yourself - I am impressed!

One other thing, I know they do things the other way round down under but up in these parts the 'received convention' as it were amongst those with twin racks is to put the 'brains' on the left and the 'brawn' on the right, simply because the mains transformers are usually on the right hand side of the boxes as you look at them from the front.

Any thoughts, or is it just swapping the boxes puts them too far from your mains sockets for the wires to reach??
