Yes the system is certainly stunning.

Ideally yes I agree with the left/ right thing...but my mains spur terminates to the left of the Fraim.. and with the length of the Naim supplied mains cables the one to the top level of the Fraim will not quite reach if it is on the right... also to swap them over, would mean mains cables crossing all of the non-powered stuff.

When I get a purpose built dedicated listening room... welll...who knows!

As always we have to make the best of what we have. Having said that it sounds awesome!

The plug came from Stands Unique about 10 years ago. All the leads go straight into the pins. They still sell them for about a tenner I believe.

That's a multiway plug. Maplins will sell you one for about a fiver.

Well, it's certainly tidier! I use one, wired up with three mains leads for the amp, CD transport and DAC, and the fourth lead going to a 6-way unswitched block for the rest of the gear. Means everything goes into one wall socket. Well worth doing just for that I reckon. I probably convinced myself it sounded better too, but I haven't unplugged everything and reverted to the previous arrangement to check.
