They're affordable. can store a reasonable amount of CD's and are available in different woodfeneers/colours

Alco ,tThere are no Ikea shops here in N.Ireland yet! & you cant buy online ,I did see some really nice 3 tier ones from England ,but the cost of delivery was more than the racks cost ,may have to go to Scotland for the nearest Ikea shop!....Jim

Sergej, she is jealous! Come on, let her buy herself a second Sennheiser and a headset extension cord, and make that colleague happy!

Seriously, the Sennheiser is an "open cup" design, this mean there is as much sound directed to your ears than lost for the "outside world". And earing a fainth "Teesss, Teesss, Teesss" 8 hours a day/ 5 days a week throught a door could certainly be irritating.

Try a headset with "closed cups" just to see how she's feeling about it (or give her a cheap portable CD player!).

allright, time for a small update...

Here are a few snapshots I made today, of my new Rogers Studio-3's on the MusicTool stands, I received this weekend

The Rogers are the latest version of the Studio-3.
(unfortunately also the ugliest, and there is no pic/info to be found on the internet)
The Rogers were offered to me by a friend, for a small price.

The stands are the (LS3/5a) dedicated stands from an Italian brand called MusicTools, which were delivered to me 2 days ago.














Because of the fact that it's a sealed box, I finally no longer suffer from this fat, flabby bass that I experienced with practically all bass-reflex speakers in my room.

Also the mids and treble of the little Rogers is amazing, imho.

if you suffer or suffered from fat and flabby bass, have you considered to connect speaker cables into tweeter (HF) plugs instead of bass plugs and to use a good "bridge" cable (Naca 5 too) between HF and LF plugs ?
I do so with Van Den Hull as "bridge" cable....

I, for one, think your Rogers/stands look excellent in your room. True, they don't have the "modern sophistication" of your Diapsons, but I would never term them ugly.

Just my opinion.

Yet another upgrade. The nait3 is gone and replaced by a 72 keeping the existing HiCap.

Kuma, if you're reading this, the inclusion of the 72 with the 322/4 boards was a tremendous upgrade on the nait3/522 MM boards preamp section ....

Also posting a closer look on the dl160. Note the longer stainless steel allen bolts add weight to very light denon cartridge. Maybe a bit overkill but does the business.

Hi David,

That wasn't an option.
My Diapason's doesn't have bi-wire connections.
(Naca-5 is too thick and stiff to use properly as a 'bridge' between HF and LF plugs.)

A great set up!

I see that the Nait3/552MM board can be a let down.
Even after they were recapped, when I switched from the Stageline/HC, it sounds anemic in comparison.

I kept playing with a HC on the Nait3R, but it is no going back. A *bare* Nait3R with Stageline/HC hands down steals the show.

btw, which speakers are you using?

Kuma, I've got a pair of Neat Mystique's 2 and use 2X4m NAC A5 speaker cable used as well as links between the speaker's terminals since these come as in biwirable flavour. I've already posted some pics of them before in this very thread.

Nice Mana reference table you've got there. My original SO table which I've kept stored in the basement for the past fifteen years still does a good job

I'd be interested to know how you get on with the SLs. I had your very system when I bought mine. Try them 5" out from the wall with virtually no toe in - mine are 2mm further from the wall on the outsides. They are 6' apart from centre to centre in an 11'6" wide room. Be careful to set them up so they are absolutely stable - not too easy with the compliant stand.
