This is the cabinet that has questionable stability as discussed in my "£1100.00 to spend - Naim Fraim or Chord Signature Cable?"
My system is: SuperCap 2, 135's X 2, CDX2, 102 Pre, Linn Kabers.
I'm afraid the guitar is an expensive ornament - I tried learning but I am totally useless. It's much easier to listen to a Julian Bream CD! Pretty weak, eh?

I love the cabinet Ian however I bet the hi-fi doesn't. It must be full of vibrations.
Just a thought have you considered a vibration platform like the Vertex kinabalu?
The picture is excellent I love the guiter nicely placed to add character.

I think I've come full circle here and basically, you are answering my original question in the "£1100 To Spend......" thread.
It is a fact that, appart from the circuitry in my Pre and Supercap 2 vibrating, I can actually feel vibrations from the music on the top of my CDX2 casing when I play anything louder than 1/4 to on the volume control.
Lots to think about. Being a fashion photographer, I think I'm going to have to get that camera working a bit harder than usual to fund all the damn kit that's looming on the horizon. Regards, Ian

Ian,
you need to put your fees up and then you can afford to spend more on the hi-fi. Your other thread has received plenty of good advice but from what you are saying the Fraim is a must. If you can feel the vibrations then you will certainly be hearing them.

ian, you could try putting your electronics on soundcare superspikes that will sit directly on the shelves - I have some to try that I no longer use if you are interested....

....the spikes are completely enclosed & do work a treat as a cheap short term fix....having said that, the reason I no longer use them is because my electronics are now sat on a Fraim....
....i'd recommend a visit to see that nice Mr Witton at Audio Counsel soon....

I'm glad that you are going for Fraim - you'll get a big improvement, and won't have to think about racks again. The only problem you will have is choosing the colour.
It's quite amusing how your very sensible question on the £1100 to spend thread, from which you drew conclusions after getting some advice, has descended into a general slanging match!!

Is it better to put it in the shelf between 32.5 and nap 140 or better in the shelf close to nap 140 and quite far from Nac 32.5?
