spec sheet says 27Hz - 25kHz +/- 2dB conservative I'd say, mine are getting lower by the day.

I would say that is very conservative. The Emotions have one of the deepest bass lines I have heard.

The Arts look so much better in the light wood finish - it's just the rosewood that looks so horrible. And it's good to see something other than a stack of Naim.

I see that chez pramaster suffers from the classic 'how do I get these leads past the fireplace' scenario. When I had a new fireplace installed I got the fitters to lay some thick trunking underneath at the back to shove the leads through - it works really well, but wouldn't appeal to those who like their leads to look like a monorail.

Thanks Nigel, TBH the Pics PB has taken don't do them justice, but I still prefere the light finish, and the veneers are all mirror matched, they are nice.

PB scale stopped at 20, Art easured down to +/- 2dB level, there was a slight tail off, say still +/- 3-4 dB at around 23

Thing is they may consider bespoke finishes, in the future, but as with anything else it will all cost money.

You know me Nigel, the dyslexia doesn't get any better Winker

The thing with the SL2's is that the ART's tweeter is so sublime and with a 10" woofer the bass is equally impresive, I can't see how the SL2 is going to improve on them.

I seriously suggest that if its possible to get a listen Nigel then you should. I would certainly value your opinion.

The ART's were designed initially for low output valve amps so a 300 would really make it sing, as for a 500,well?

My room is not large and I need wallhuggers. To be honest, if I changed speakers it would probably be to the NSats - they are so small and sounded brilliant on the end of my system when I borrowed then. I guess with the nSub they'd be even better. But they do lack the wonderful air of the SL2s - more shut in if you like.

ART Stiletto's would be perfect for you Winker

I have heard both SL2 and N-sats and yes SL2's are by far the better speaker but those N-sats are very seductive!
