Kuma, they were originally designed for Kondo, but sens is only 90.5dB and they are flat response and uncoloured, it was a bonus that they work well with solid state too, I get your point, but young children and bottles don't mix, IMHO, so maybe one day, but trust me solid state is fine.

yeah.. but there is a difference in work *fine* and work exceptionally fine.

I concur, however I'm underpromising here, and over delivering, solid state is exceptionally fine, I've yet to find out what it's like above this level, maybe one day

Thought I would make the effort to post pictures of my system. It consists of:

And kudos that you show your piccies, here, even if you don't have a full blown Naim system. I have heard good things about the Bryston stuff, lately. Since you can do the comparison to Naim amps: What's your verdict ?

I have to say the choice of the Bryston was driven by cost, and they do offer fantastic sound for the money. The 4B SST costs roughly £2,300. The 802D's take a bit of driving and the Brystons deliver 300w/pch. It does perform very well, as I previously owned a NAP 250 I was more than happy with what the Bryston did with the music. I am still however dreaming of getting a NAP 500, and will do one day soon I hope.

Why do you say that? I remember hearing the NAP 500 when it was first released and I was blown away by it. I must admit that I have not conducted an A/B comparison.

The floor is massive oak with panga-panga.
It´s very hard and suits the DBL very well.
Lamino is perfect for our purpose...
I have noticed that a lot of you people have TV and stuff between your speakers.
I think it´s very big difference in perfomance if it´s empty between the speakers.
I know there is space problems, but one tip is to put wheels on the TV bench and a fast connection for the mains and the antenna and just roll it away when you really want to enyoy your music at the best. I did this when I lived in a small apartment.

Not a lot of progress. I've been talking to a guy at work about it (he's an electrician) but we haven't found the time to sit down together to finalise the design and draw up a parts list. We've been busy and there's no particular hurry.
