In fact, if he is ever in the Kent region, I could do with someone to look at the placement in my front room, with obvious focus on making sure everything is neat and tidy. Where do people hide speaker cable these days?

i use to use my old rega ela's as front but now i have a dedicated surround system for movies (hence the screen..!!!0 and my naim system for music, so i will get around to upgrading my av setup, but enjoying music at the mo..!!!!

if your question translates back to "what "noise piece" is, except a module sounds this ?" the answer is "herewith crafted kitchen sit in a bath tub and play tuba".

No, seriously: The "Klangmodul" (= "Sound Module") is the name of a fuse holder with old type (melting) fuses that goes in the fuse box. Tehy have hifi optimized types with copper or silver coated fuses. I use teh copper type.

BTW the Manger thingies are quite a bit bigger in diameter than I thought from pics in adverts.

Try moving your 250 out from under the 282, even if it means putting it on the floor as a temporary measure. You should hear a big improvement.

I might give it a try - when time comes. I'm still struggling with the Manger thingies, and want to get rid of that "sweet burden", asap. Then, I get re-used to my CARA speakers and fiddle with NAP postition. Also, Lovan racks will go, Fraim will come. Still 3/2, but possibly only 282 and CDS3 will stay on one single stack, all the dirty transformer stuff on the other.

You're absolutely right, BUT:

The carpet was strictly chosen by audiophile criteria ! (An evalutaion of about 13 different types, mostly IKEA rugs, but also Flokati style and very expensive samples stolen from my parents for that purpose).
Yeah, the color and pattern IS horrible, but you must know that I follow the "music first" principle. I wear these special goggles (usually abused in solariums) as soon as the music starts, in order to be not diverted from the pure musical pleasure. Thus, I only see the carpet when I enter the room or change discs.

Will try to paint it green and present results to the Inspectorate when done.

They look better than the DBL and sound good, too!

For under 10K US, I don't think the SL2 is overpriced for what they 'can' do.

Kuma, I would probably like the SL2 on a proper demo, though I wasn't impressed at London and Paris Audio Shows...and yes they sure look better than the DBL!
