I'm not sure if I get that right, but: Yes, they don't care too much about what everybody else does to fight typical speaker problems - like non parallel walls. What you can't see in the pics: Their weight. We were in two to put them into position...

Je n'arrive pas à afficher d'autres images pourtant, malgré avoir remplacé les piles usées.

J'ai mon ordinateur qui ne s'entend pas bien avec mon appareil et c'est probablement le fil qui est foutu.

Right, Deane. It's the stereo flavor of the Tivoli series. It is stunningly good ! Doesn't play too loud, but what the... And I have it there for the looks, I find them well designed and a pleasure to look at.

Hihi, know-waddya-mean, ejl. But I'm totally innocent ! Took the pics last spring when the poppies were just exploding in my garden, and thought they came out quite nicely...

The fact that I've not yet opened a "Manger the story continues, part 2" thread is really because I keep throwing CD's on it. From the pile I've used with the 109 (the "small" Mangers), I keep picking the ones that left me cold, and - gulp - the 103 (the "big" one) knows how to handle it. Details later.

What does "look the part" mean (for a non English native) ?

Stefan, you have to loose those Lovan shelves asap, they are evil ! My advice, fill up the rack's tubes with kitty litter (Katzenstreu), and get yourself some nice birch multiplex shelves.
Even better would be Phonosophie boards, for the CDP and PSUs.

Looks like I have one last chance to reach Nirvana, Horst

I was at a demo, two weeks ago, where all Naim stuff was on Fraim, and then they took (only) the CDP over to another rack, and the music disappeared from the presentation. Scary !!! The other rack was a - Lovan.

Will buy Fraim before the end of this year, and leave the Katzenstreu for Phillip, my cat.

Difficult. Right. Manger's standard is to allow for two weekends (10 days), and I'm afraid I'll need that much time. Much more difficult than with the smaller models. Still trying to find a CD that I don't like with them (in fact - most of what I throw at them knocks we over.)

Sounds like you like what's doing generally then?

Gut feeling sometimes is more true than try to slice and dice what a kit is doing.

That's how I decided on the 552. I can pick it apart, but what's most compelling is that it's making me smile!

If the Manger is making you smile more than your current speakers, that's a good enough reason to keep 'em.
