Great stuff Brian - I especially loved the Brummie translator

They've made great strides in improving the centre of Brum. Many of the horrors inflicted on it during the 60s have been sorted - just that montrosity in B9 to go...

You have to be from Central Parts to be able to distinguish between Yam Yam and Brummy accents. For starters Brummy is a southern accent and Yam Yam is a northern one.

Yam Yams are from The Black Country (e.g. Wolves, West Brom, Dudley), which is most definitely not Brum.

Still shit though, - a spikey Selfidges is just diamante on the turd - it'll take a few more years still to recover from the City Fathers' habit of being determined to have the first one way system, the first indoor shopping centre, the first innercity ringroad, the first supersize fibreglass gorilla etc. MistakesRus.

The people, the sense of humour and the accent will nevertheless triumph in the end. Hate it and love them.

Thanks for the link Brian. Well I for one am fed up opening my curtain to a shimmering dawn view of the English Channel from my South Downs abode. I am applying for jobs back in Brum. I really am. I happen to like the new Bull Ring (Selfridges) building by the way.
