****ed Upgraditis! (Paging Ludwig!)

All--

I was riding along merrily when my rear derailleur started to slip under load. I tried to ride it out, but it wouldn't go away. So I stopped by the shop where I got the bike in the first place to have it corrected. While there, I wandered by the road bike section. And when I stopped by one of the bikes, the sales guy, with IMPECCABLE timing, said "You've got great taste in bikes..."

To which I replied "Take back my Imola and I'd take it..." So to make a long story short, I'm about to go pick up yet another new bike... and it is......drumroll please.....

A Bianchi San Lorenzo.

Edit: Turned into a Vigorelli. Just couldn't live without the steel!

When I saw one for $1999, down from $2999, I couldn't resist... I'm off to pick it up, and to swap all the stuff from the Imola over to the SL.

Ludwig--I definitely think it would be worth a call to Bicycle Village in Colorado if you decide you want a Bianchi. I also saw a Veloce for $999.

Best,

Bob (Obviously insane, but happily so!)

Eek

There must be some Bianchi universal equilibrium thing going on. See the "My turn" thread.
