Five artists/releases currently on the top of the pile and in heavy rotation:

1. Kim Richey "Rise" ... if you like Mindy, Patty Griffin, and Lucinda, this is for you. The track 11 duet with Pete Droge on "Electric Green" is a highlight.

2. Dave Matthews Band "The Gorge" ... 2 audio cd's and 1 dvd from the incredible Gorge venue in Washington state, from DMB's annual 3-day Labor Day weekend run. The "Gravedigger > Everyday > #36 > Two Step" that ends audio cd #1 is worth the price of admission.

3. Pearl Jam "Benaroya Hall" ... They take liberties with the "all acoustic" reference but a great live show by the Pacific Northwest's most famous ambassadors.

4. Stockholm Syndrome "Holy Happy Hour" ... This has really grown on me. Jam band credentials, rockin'/pop commercial release. Considering the genesis of this band is less than a year, one to watch .... which I will be doing live come October 15 in PDX.

5. Jerry Joseph "Cherry" .... Jerry's stellar songwriting presented in a solo acoustic setting. Jerry's songwriting style is singular and not for everybody, but a song like "Syracuse" lets you know he is one of the best, when at the top of his game.

Soup to nuts, all giving me great aural pleasure.

good listenin'
