Vote: r u in the market for new stands? Is this discussion what you want?
Posted by: Andrew Randle on 12 January 2001
I'm passively seeking. I'm not going to listen within a short time. I keep reading the opinions on the forum and then I'll look at a rack that has gotten good reviews from the forum members AND looks good. This one I'll buy! Off course I'll listen in the shop first, but when it sounds good, I won't compare.
Which category fits me?
Regards, Bas
The first one fits you perfectly. Effectively, your saying that you are finding our discussions useful.

However, such debate can be helpful in developing an understanding on how stands work. If that is the only reason, then don't vote.
We will always have future discussions about stands. I'm just interested in the current climate and how pertinent this topic is.

Mana v Hutter v Isoblue v Audiotech v ???????
I know for sure that a stand is a must. I still don't know how much money I have to put on a stand
with my system and my potential upgrade.

Yep, that person is you.

I realy trust the members here - but in Israel (I'd told it before) there are no dealers for Mana and not for Hutter. These two are seem to be the leading racks. There is a dealer here for Base (Linn dealer - BTW).
If I want to buy - I have to sheep it - and both Mana and Hutter are ready to sell and sheep privately to Israel.
So again - the never ending question here - Mana or Hutter. And again, I think Naim are voting for Hutter but members here are telling me that it is not because of proffesional reasons.
Confused ? wait for the next episode of "bubbles".

I know it's probably a bit much to do for some stands... but I'm sure a flight from Israel to England could be worthwhile if you include a tour of England and:
a) time it for the Bristol Hi-Fi Show
b) arrange a personal demostration with Mana who are close to London.
I'd invite you over, but a single bedroom flat in London would be a bit cramped for me, you and Shosh.
