Djangos USA
Posted by: GML on 29 November 2004
Like many others I order a great number of CD's from Djangos.com USA.
Once the items have been dispatched delivery is normally quite prompt, about 10 days.
I have now been waiting for 3 weeks which is unusual. Anyone else experiencing shipping problems from the USA?
George.

This is interesting...I have orders pending for 3 different items (a pair of glasses from Japan, a CD from Amazon.com, and a CD5X from that hifi firm in Salisbury) all currently late and/or lost in transit; something is clearly going wrong in the world of freight and mailing. I live in the U.S., BTW.

I'd been waiting three weeks for a CD from secondspin when every previous order has taken a week to ten days.
Emailed them, they assured me they posted it Oct 28th, got it a few days ago dated Oct 28th.
Perhaps Mt Pleasant are trying for the Xmas bonus?

George,
I've started using Djangos a lot (thanks, J.N.!). Sometimes the CDs arrive promptly, but usually it takes ages (up to eight weeks), even though they dispatch the wares quite quickly.
Maybe it's something to do with the US postal service, because orders from A&B Sound in Canada never take much longer than 10 days after they've been dispatched.

Like George; Djangos are my USA supplier of choice.
I'm still waiting for a CD apparently shipped by them on 3rd November (along with several others shipped thereafter).
By contrast, I've just received the latest Jim Bryson album from 'Maple Music' in Canada. Dispatch to arrival was 5 days!
What's going on?

It appears that they're doing more customs checks at the moment - my last 2 orders took 3 weeks as they were stopped. The import duty I have no complaints about (£3) but the thieving bastards at the post office wanted £4 for 'processing fees' or some such rubbish (no doubt a Parry tax).
