Viral Cats

Whoops - ballsed up subtle editing of the Cat thread.
The linked video was (reasonably) considered offensive by several forum memebers. Although it is not our role to censor we do have a duty of care. My intention was to post a warning, remove the automatic link and include the explanation below. Apologies for the more drastic action.
The video was a special effects construct. The offence being in the mind of the creator and beholder - rather than reality.
Additionally - if you have objections to postings - contact the moderators rather than taking your own offensive action, however upset you are.
As part of the launch campaign for the new Ford Sportka in June 2003, a dedicated website was developed around the creative idea of a spoof movie.
As part of the website, a suite of materials was proposed by the agency, Ogilvy, including two short videoclips to be made available for download. One of these, featuring a pigeon, was approved and is featured on the website. The agency creative team proposed a second video clip featuring a cat. This was specifically rejected by Ford and Ogilvy. The clip was not released, but has been leaked over the Internet.
We at Ford Motor Company find this unofficial "advertisement" totally unacceptable and reprehensible, and have briefed UK animal welfare organisations.
A full investigation has been ordered by Ford and Ogilvy to determine how this unapproved material found its way into the public domain.
The action in the video clip was totally computer generated, and we would like to assure customers that no animal was harmed in its making.
