Relocation location.

Judging from the number of "moving for a new life style" type of shows on UK TV over the past year or so it would seem that downunder is the place to head for. I on the other hand would be happy to settle in Vancouver with Toronto as a second home if a big, fat lotto rollover were ever to head my way.
Where would other people relocate if money was no object?

I'd stay here. Give it 10 years and it will be nearly empty.

My company relocated me from Kent to Somerset about 12 years ago. We love it here and have no intention of moving out of the area, and probably staying put in the present house. Once here the problem them became staying while still getting promoted. That turned out to be quite a struggle but happily I'm now self employed and well dug in down here. Wouldn't want to move anywhere else. If we got megga rich (fat chance!) and really wanted to move somewhere to retire comfortably we'd go to Ireland. That's where my family hail from and I've got a bit of land over there given to me by my late Grandfather. Very unlikely to happen though.

If I could be greedy, I'd have a house near the beach on the headland just north of San Francisco, a flat in London and a house in Somerset.

Don't even THINK about Florida!
I like the Ardnamurchan Peninsula and Annecy. And probably several other places would do nicely.

If money were no object, I'd have a riverside penthouse here by the Thames, a country place on the Heritage Coast in Dorset and a winter hideaway somewhere warm, perhaps Noosa (in Queensland). Far too many 'Midgies' in Scotland!

Absolutely without question it would have to be the Isle of Skye!
I go up there every year and hate leaving.

When I win the lottery......!
I don't think I could get a well enough paid job there to cover my Naim upgrade aspirations

A nice big house with a bit of land on the North Cornwall coast, looking out over the sea from the cliff-tops. Perfect in the sun, really dramatic when the weather's wild.
And a little flat or two in London and Paris, you know how it is...

It's a grand old team to play for...

A cottage on the North Norfolk coast and a nice little 42' centre cockpit yacht for pottering about in.
When the scenery gets boring you can just change the view and when that gets boring you can always go back to the cottage and cut the grass.

Skye is nice, but I have a soft spot for Tobermory in Mull. Don't ask me why, I just do. Also Arran is nice - Scotland in miniature I believe they say.
If money were no object, I think I'd move two miles along the coast from where I am currently to the delightful little coastal village of Aberdour. And of course a Tuscan villa for holidays. And...

If money were no object, I'd live on the moon.
The view's great from up there. But it's a shame about the lack of atmosphere...
Being able to afford a house ANYWHERE is a foolish pipe dream for me, so I never think about it.

Have just read the last posting (Domfjbrown)
By coincidence Exeter would be my UK relocation city of choice - more precisely Topsham, Dawlish Warren or Budleigh.
My European pick would be the Northern side of Majorca and my worldwide choice Vancouver Island.
My connection to these places is a love of birdwatching and photography.
One day........

On the other hand, Totnes is lovely.

Hmm, where would I go?
A little summer house in Sweden, up around the lakes.
A place in NZ for when we eventually get round to reproducing...
Going back to Kenya (good memories from when I was a nipper).

Well we've just down the complete opposite!
Left a large family home in Wellington, New Zealand, that the two of us used to get lost in.
Now living in converted shoe box is the middle of Clapham High Street! And frickin winters coming
