Second that. I've almost forgotten what it's like to actually learn something about politics and world history/current affairs on television.

Who was it who said that "televison has replaced meaning"?

Another excellent program last night.

Yeah, very scary video. Made doubly scary with the airing of Osama's Bush promo, which true to his plan seems to have stalled Kerry's momentum and handed the Presidency back to Bush. Self-obsessed, extremist nutjobs everywhere must be cock-a-hoop.

Dead right Tom. Nobody benefits more from the Bush administration remaining in power than the big O. Well...apart from Cheney.

Yup, too true.

Bin Laden has repeatedly shown up Dubya to have the tactical nous of a gnat. His intervention was therefore no real surprise since it now all all but guarantees Bush's re-election and hence the continued provocation of the Arab world by the US.

Not necessarily, Mick. As has been pointed out, OBL is still out there taunting only because Bush took his eye off the ball in Afghanistan.

I doubt if many wavering voters will reward Bush for incompetence. Of course, he may still win tomorrow. Among other reasons: While everyone has been watching Florida for dirty tricks, the Bushies have been busily setting up a shitstorm in Ohio.

Iā€™d flipping love you to be right on this one Davie, but pretty much everything I've heard since the video airing has concluded that although Kerry can spin the video, it clearly plays best for Bush's campaign of fear and puts voters exactly where Osama wants them.

Good to see that a couple of DJs in Ohio have just put the kibosh on the Republican election monitoring shenanigans. As you might expect Fox commentators are apoplectic. Always nice to see Smile .
