Bizarre: Can this be true?

... That Libyan dictator and former bogeyman Col Gadafy is up for buying Crystal Palace? It was reported in this morning's Grauniad and Palace chairman Simon Jordan has intimated he would be interested in selling up; and of course Gadafy already owns aa 5% stake in Juventus.

Any Palace fans out there, what do you think?

And there was the approach to Liverpool from Thailand's PM. What other bizarre football couplings can we expect:

General Khin Nyut (PM of Burma/Myanmar) making a swoop on Bolton?
Ayatollah Ali Khameni of Iran signing up the Great Satan (Man Utd)?
Syria's Bashar al-Assad making a play for Tottenham Eek

I expect West Ham will end up with some tin-pot dictator (stop sniggering at the bback there!)
