Battlestar Galactica

I hope you are all watching this on SKY 1 (if you can). Forget the original; this is like the Sopranos meets Sci-Fi. Amazing and uncomprimising with fine acting and production values.

TV Sci-Fi comes of age. Again.

Now if the new Dr Who can be to the old what this is to the '80s dayglow version......

Not sure about this one I still remember the original withh fondness. Everything now is new but still old if you know what I mean. The story line is a bit thin(as was the original) and the "lady" does nothing apart from liven up the scenery(could do with some sex from Hex). I'll view a couple more and see if anything changes.
Couldn't get on with Sopranos either.

I wasn't that impressed with it. It was on here in Canada several months ago and repeated a few weeks ago. The ones they showed were only the opening 2 episodes and I thought it was pretty similar to the original in terms of story/plot quality.

I normally reserve this exclaimation for the more Bush inclined, less Northern Americans but...

'Are you MAD? Winker'

Comparing the new BG is like comparing Dr Who to Gattaca. It's like comparing Buck Rogers to the X-Files. It's like comparing Canada to the US..... Winker

I'm very possibly mad. It's been a while since I saw the remake one, but I thought it was pretty average. I didn't see anything that was miles better than the orignal. They had the obligatory woman in power for more sex equality then the original as I remember it and not much else.

As for comparing Candians to Americans I'm not actually a Canadian (just live there) so I do it all the time...

You must have picked up a few traits - you are so reasonable! Winker

I also have 2 sheds. One is a full size (with Bike and mower) and a mini-me one for my bits.

Who can live with just one shed?

You rural types... I was at Carrow Road a few years back (while visiting my folks near Fakenham). My then-wife noticed at half time that everyone was pulling apples from their coat pockets - and actually eating them! The horror! For us Glaswegians, this display of healthy snacking was truly bizarre.

Davie,
A visit to Falkirk would calm you down. A while back I saw in the street a couple who looked exactly like Wayne and Waynetta Slob, each eating a roll containing a deep fried pie while holding a fag in the same hand. Amazing.

they go past my house (with narwich) accents every night. They are having a tragi-comic relationship and I get to hear it all at 4am.

Now Now Bhoyo.

Its crap, right and proper.

Like most of any star trek now, or infact anything on Sky One (apart from Simpsons of course, which in the past few years has also become crap)

Plot line:

From out of nowhere a drop dead gorgeous but dangerous women runs the show, all American teenage boys masterbate over her.

Basis for a hit show.
