Team America

Anybody seen "Team America - World Police" ? I thought it was a scream. I haven't laughed out loud like that in a movie for a long time.

I don't think it's out here until nearer the end of the month (in the UK). It is on my list to see though. Saw The Incredibles last week - that was superb

That's very good news, Steve, as I've more or less promised my 4 year old that I'd take him.
Do you think that the film's ok for young children?
Thanks

I saw Team America a few months ago and liked it, although at times I thought the comedy did wear a bit thin. Some of the songs in there are very amusing and the stereo typing in the film is hilarious at times.
As for the incredibles I saw that a few months ago as well and loved it. One of the better films of last year.

I don't recall anything in "The Incredibles" that I would not have wanted my kids to see when they were four.
Great movie, by the way.

Can't wait to see it. Quite amazed really that the writers behind south park are still coming up with the goods. The latest South Park series has been really excellent too.

The only thing in The Incredibles to possibly be concerned about is the tension of certain scenes. Young 'uns can't always tell the difference between on-screen "life-and-death" situations and the real thing. I took a six-year old and she was fine, but I did hear a couple of wee ones saying, "But he's ok right, Daddy?" etc.
Echo the praise above, though. Loads of fun.

I took Jack to see 'The Incredibles' this afternoon. It was his first visit to the cinema.
What a trip! I'd forgotten what an overwhelming experience modern cinema is. He couldn't believe the size of the screen and was knocked out by the sheer scale of the experience.
As for the film, he found the first half a bit difficult because it was quite 'adult' and there wasn't much action. A couple of times he asked whether it was finishing soon. Then the action kicked in and he LOVED it.
He didn't stop talking about it for hours afterwards and we described to each other again and again how the giant spider robot was killed and the really, really bad guy. He liked all the good guys and hated the baddies. It was real fairy story stuff.
And so to bed. It was a big day for him.
And me.

PS: I thought the movie was great. Can't wait for the DVD.

Haven't seen the movie (yet) but my 8-year old son assures me it's excellent. He'd also recommend the Incredibles PS2 game.
