A friend visited over the weekend with a Maria Callas disc. Now that's what I call a screeching racket.

Hi Jim

Not much good to you now, but it was 10pm on Friday 4th June on BBC4 (TV).

It was preceeded by an excellent documentary on one of my real musical heroes - Richard Thompson.

The stuff on freeview ain't that special in general, but the odd gems like these do appear from time to time, so it's worth checking the listings (if you can get it?)

If anyone picks this up in time - I've just spotted that the June Tabor concert is repeated tonight (Wed 9th) at 23.50

Starting this Friday on Beeb4 - a long overdue re-run of 'The Prisoner'.

Excellent.

Usually I keep a close eye on the music on BBC4. The last few months has been excellent, but this week unfortunately have have been working late shifts so again have missed June. But I'm sure it will return again in the future. Thanks J.N. for the info.
