Insurance a-bloody-gain

Hi Guys.

Well its an exciting time for us, this weekend we move back to the South of england to my home town of Salisbury (Or there abouts)

In the interim we are packing everything up and storing it at Sheilas parents.

We have discussed with them their insurance policy which is very basic as they don't really have very expensive stuff (except a recent super mac addition)

NOw apparently their insurance covers what a house of their size would likely hold, what ever the hell that means.

Would anyone here have any ideas of what I can do to get my hifi etc insured whilst in the house? I estimate around 40k worth of stuff.

Tomorrow I will most likely call about a bit and see what insurance companies can do, but can we get a separate insurance for our stuff?

I would think a call to your existing insurers would provide you with transit cover during the move. You obviously have everything covered at present. I am sure if you explain the situation they would be quite happy.

Look at new providers once you are in and settled !

So this is finally it eh, Gazza?

Oh well, shame we couldn't meet up again prior to your move, but good luck with it all, I hope it all works out for you, insurance an'all!

Cheers,

JR Smile

PS: Your kit's worth £40K??? Wow!

I used this outfit for storage and they offered insurance for 28 days at a time

If you cant get sorted with your existing insurer you might be able to use the same insurer they do.. CGU i think it says..

All together Jon, with CDs computers etc I would say so yes, scary when you add it all up really.

Cheers Hawk, I think this is something I will have to sort out once we get down there, I am just concerned by a policy with no specifics such as this one!
