I watched out of curiosity, not a confirmed fan.
Seemed to have a lot of 'My favourite things' didn't it.
Still not convinced about his genius status.

I thought the programe was a little disappointing, too much talking, but the there is no doubting Coltranes genius. There was a fantastic programe on BBC 4 straight after which had Miles Davis (and what looked like a septet) playing 'So What'. This really was a special piece of television which also provided the blue print for the fast show 'jazz club', alledgedly.
