In a truely progressive government, that should not be an issue.

As long as the candidate for that level of government has the sense of uncompromising responsibility, self sacrifice and appreciation of natural law - then I am fine.

True, but many seem to want to attack Bush for his right wing conservative views and yet he seems to have a more progressive administration.
