Wish You Were Here

Is it possible to get WYWH sealed and new? All I ever see are used vinyl copies of the original pressing.
Curious if anyone knows, and if so, where I might be able to locate a copy.
Thanks

I think the Gold Mastersound version is the best-sounding of the CDs; any thoughts?
Well, I have a rather fractious relationship with them; they piss me off as much as they pep me up.
I think the Gold Mastersound is probably the best-sounding CD.

I've also come to the conclusion that the recent SACD/CD hybrid of DSOTM is the best sounding CD. Am I on the right track here? Also, am I the only one who dislikes the fact that every time they remaster they change the artwork?

As has been intimated, plenty of good vinyl available (in black opened shrink-wrap) if browsing in e.g. UK used vinyl stores - moved mine on for a laugh in 1989 when I 'gave up' audio for computers.
Adequately replaced several times on CD (last remaster fine, without some of the 'glitches' on vinyl).
Thanks for tip about 2005 re-issue of vinyl - feel Ill have to get it if I can purchase in black vinyl shrink-wrap.
30 years ago beauty of this for me was hearing it all previewed on BBC Alan Freeman Radio show on class portable stuck on prone chest one Saturday afternoon at sea-side ...

Got it. Despite the seller telling me there were no visible scratches on the vinyl I could see quite a few. Snap crackle pop. Sold it to the local record store and only lost seven dollars on it.
Oh well. First and last time I buy s/h vinyl online.

Wish You Were Here will be released in September or October as a dual-layer SACD, much as DSOTM was two years ago. James Guthrie, the Floyd's engineer, is working on the 5.1 surround mix (based on the original Quad mix, I believe). There will also be new Storm Thorgerson artwork.
A vinyl pressing may appear.
Apparently Animals is up for treatment next.

Also, Pulse will finally be issued on DVD at the end of the year and it is strongly rumoured there will be a whole disc's worth of extra material.

Would the vinyl release be around the same time as the SACD version ie: Sept/Oct ?
Cheers

As many may already know, Wish You Were Here was available as a "Hi-Fi Today SuperCut", by mail order only, pressed by Nimbus. These have the appropriate logo pressed into the sleeve, and also on the disk label itself. They are very, very good, IMHO, and turn up surprisingly often at record fairs for about 15 quid max. Well worth bin diving for.
