The Branston Pickle factory has burnt down

Posted by: Tim Jones on 21 December 2004

I only found out about this when I asked a supermarket person why they didn't seem to have had any stock of my favorite pickle for months. When he came back and told me, I thought he was taking the p, but it is apparently the truth.

I have tried other alternatives, including a terrible Heinz pickle. The "sandwich mini-chunks" version of Brantson is still available, but doesn't really cut the, er, mustard.

I know there is a joke to be had out of this somewhere, but it's too early for me.

I'm sorry to be so behind the times, but pleased to have left Fritz speechless...

I knew it was spicey...but highly inflammable?

This sounds like a marketing ploy, gone wrong.

This also sounds like an attempt at humour, gone very, very wrong.
