Fishermans Blues

Has anyone bought this album?
Contains heaps of unreleased material which didn't make the cut on the original.

'Uncut' seem to approve

Haven't heard it, but Santa brought it for my brother who reports considerable approval.

Are you talking about Too Close to Heaven? This is the recently released album with outtakes from the Fisherman's Blues sessions.

If so, then I've heard it round at a friend's and I thought it was very good - almost up to the standard of Fisherman's Blues itself.

The original (CD) is a good test of how your system's performing - it's rather thinly recorded so it there's anything not quite right with your setup I find this can be verging on the unlistenable!

Nick, it was in fact the title track that persuaded me the cd3 was worth the upgrade from my previous Alpha 8. On the Alpha it was a load of guys playing different instruments, on the cd3 it was a band playing a song...
