Well they are not illegal really but some put nasties on PCs.
Piratebay.org is good so is torrentspy, I am guessing torrentspy probably puts nasties on your PC.
I don't use a PC so don't know. I also use xTorrent on mac which does the searching for you so no need to visit any sites.
