Calling TMP (Pink Floyd?)

Hello TMP,

What in your opinion is the best 'sound quality' version of WYWH?

I have the remaster and was wondering if there was a superior copy.

Regards

George.

The jap gold version of WYWH is excellent. Also the remaster on vinyl was sublime.

On Mike's recommendation I got the Japanese papercover of "The Division Bell". The sound is excellent and the packaging is simply amazing. I have the UK version too as well as a vinyl copy, although I am currently without a turntable.

I've got the long sleeve CBS rerelease of WYWH on gold disc, which I think sounds good.

And the MFSL Gold disc of DSOTM is extremely good.

I agree with TMP on the quality of Japan pressings. The quality rival's or in a few cases exceed MFSL Half Speed Master pressings (which are also pressed in Japan but much more expensive). I recently puchased Japan pressings of the "The Wall" and "Meddle" and both are the best I've ever heard. Regards, Larry

i've just replaced my SOPO 100 with a CBS MASTERSOUND which has a slight edge, the WALL after numerous purchases i found a sealed japanese copy which is the best i've heard.
its a shame MFSL never did a release of these albums.
