Well he did have a good innings - 91 is a fair age.

This has reminded me of my one and only - TRUE - funny name story.

I went to school with a kid called Andrew Dibble, and unsurprisingly at the time he was called Officer Dibble and all manner of dribble-related puns of which I am sure he tired enormously*.

Well one day we discovered that Andy's mother's name was Sybil...

*As a Roderick living through the release of 'Life of Brian', I can retrospectively sympathise hugely with this.

More sad news - I grew up watching Hanna-Barbera cartoons and Top Cat was one of the very very best.

I was watching Top Cat recently with my wife. Not having seen the show since she was a little girl, she was shocked by the characters' behavior on a "children's" show; drinking, gambling, chasing women, etc.

Stang was great in the movie "It's a mad, mad, mad, mad world".

they only did that 95% of the time, the other 5% they were up to no good.

Wait until your wife sees Quick Draw McGraw

I think thats because it was basically "Bilko" done as a cartoon. Great fun and they always seemed to delight in using awful sound effects such as Dibble falling off a cruise ship and his fingernails scraped all the way down to the waterline........
