Ittok/DV Cart Q.

Posted by: Alex S. on 06 May 2002

DVs work well in Aros - how well do they work in Ittoks?

What's the best DV cart you can fit to an Ittok before you should have bought an Aro instead?

Does anyone know the UK retail price of the various Dynavectors?

I ask all this partly because I want to keep the Ittok if posible - mainly because its been hacked to bits to provide sonic improvements - I don't think it has much s/h value, although it is black. Anyway, I think its a decent enough arm although the Aro is undoubtedly a lot better.

I know Linn did A/Bs of an Ekos/Cheapo against an Ittok/Expensivo and thought the former much better. I am trying not to believe it.

Thanks in advance,

Alex

I used, and really really loved, a Dynavector 10X4 mk 2. This was a superb sounding match which I strongly recommend.

I have a horrible feeling you're right.

Anyway, next question: is the output of a DV 17D2 suitable for use with a Linto?

I also use a DV 10x4 Mk II in an Ittok, which works very well.

My Armageddon powered LP12 is very much a secondary source to a CDS II; otherwise I would have an ARO.

It is a fantastic tonearm.

Come on Naim. Let's have a spring sale and reduce that silly price!

"The ARO only SEEMS expensive."

Tried that one when trying to get my better half to buy me one for Xmas.

Didn't work then either
