Wish I did that...
There is not computer manipulated nor edited.
Everything is in real time as you see it.
Took 606 takes and 6 million dollars including the full mechanical enginering of the sequence.

In addition, it's said to be there are only 6 hand-made Arrods like this in the world and to the horror of Honda engineers, the filmmakers disassembled two of them for this spot.

Fabulous.

Also wish that car was available in the States.

Don't believe everything you see Kuma, if that was in real time about 10 seconds in 3 wheels clearly climb up hill defying the rules of thermo dynamics!

Good advert though

Been seen on british TV as an advert a while ago. But how come the wheels roll up-hill on the ramp and dont roll back down?

There are plenty of problems from the get go, the smaller cog hits the bigger cog slowly yet there is momentum for the big cog to hit the next cog, but the big cog stops immediately.

Honda always make good adverts though. I don't really like the cars though

google is ever your friend...

The sequence where the tires roll up a slope looks particularly impressive but is very simple. Steiner says that there is a weight in each tire and when the tire is knocked, the weight is displaced and in an attempt to rebalance itself, the tire rolls up the slope

and also snopes

Yes I can go for that explanation, if fact (believe it or not) I thought it may be done that way. The question should be why? everthing else looks believable, there are so many other things that could have been done, why go for something that looks fake?

What's not to like about.....

But you are right in general. Aren't Honda the most reliable make?

I have a black honda s2000 Whips most things on the road including sports bikes, i gave a honda vfr 750 a race the other day it was amusing when the rider took off and then turned round only to see me up his arse and still changing gear at 120mph. superb cars!
It's a drivers car.

I wouldn't call a VFR750 a sports bike, more a sports tourer.

I'm afraid to say guy on the VFR couldn't have been riding it that well if you could keep up!

I've had people attempt it with souped up chavmobiles, porsches and other assorted cars and I never understand why car drivers bother trying (I should mention, I am also a car driver). I can also out accelerate the majority of motorcyclists at standing starts, always good fun.

This time of year it's too dangerous to mess around - leaves, oily patches and muck on the roads. Going sideways round a bend a few weeks ago taught me that it's the time of year to take things easy.

Not banging my own drum here but have had a fair bit of experience messing around on racetracks as I do have Brands Hatch just up the road from me - just takes a little bit of effort to learn.

Just my 2 pence worth Big Grin

To keep this on topic, good advert though - liked the way it was done!

As a fan of Honda cars and bikes I'm afraid I'd have to agree that if an S2000 was keeping up with a VFR750 in a straight line then either there was something wrong with the bike or the rider was taking it very easy.

OK my little CBR600 (also barely a sports bike) is a bit quicker than a VFR750 but I've never encountered a car capable of getting anywhere close to it's straight line performance (there are a few road cars which could but I've only ever seen those on top-gear).

S2000 standing quarter 14.4 seconds, 0-60 5.8 seconds, 140mph
CBR600 standing quarter 11.2 seconds, 0-60 3.2 seconds, 166mph

In the dry I wouldn't put money on being faster round Cadwell park than a well driven S2000, and in the wet I'm pretty certain I wouldn't be. In a straight line though I'm 100% certain the car wouldn't have a chance.
