N-vi fixed audio output?

Hi, I wish to run a pair of outside speakers off of their own dedicated amplifier conected to the N-vi. The N-vi's din audio out levels are controlled by its own volume control making this very difficult. What I really need is a fixed audio out,so the two areas can have independent volumes -can this be possibly achieved using the coaxial digital output or some other simpler way ,cheers Chris

As far as I know, a couple of units have had a factory mod to turn the variable output on DIN to a line level output. However, if you can't get that done and/or you'd rather keep your n-Vi standard, then there is a line level output on the SCART connector. Why not ask John at Shore Hifi whether he could make you a special lead with a SCART connector on it?
Another alternative is, as you say, to use the digital ouput into either a digital amp or DAC and amp. Of the two, this may well potentially be the superior performing option. However, you will be limited by not being able to route any analog sources on your n-Vi this way.
