You need to know but your better not knowing. When the knowledge is proven, you will agree.

I think I'll settle for NOT knowing, and TRUE ignorance, at least till it is all proven! Fred

You were one of a group of men involved in drug smuggling, Lord Justice Hooper told Joseph Augustine in the Court of Criminal Appeal in London, and you helped to set up a safe house in St Peters Street in Bedford. The purpose of this flat was to allow drug mules from the West Indies to hide out after travelling to Britain, until the drugs they had swallowed had passed through their system. In September 2003, you were looking after a drug mule, who had swallowed a kilogram of cocaine before leaving Trinidad. When the 50,000 payload you were expecting did not appear, you and your gang became impatient, and began force-feeding the smuggler with prune juice. You then resorted to what have been termed extreme measures, such as inserting a broom handle and a carving knife into his anus, in an attempt to extract the drugs, although these attempts also failed. The man later escaped from the flat, and was found by neighbours, crawling in the street with various objects protruding from his anus. The cocaine was subsequently removed from his belly by surgeons in hospital. Police then raided the flat, and found what has been described as a fully greased-up Hoover, with which you had tried to suck the drugs out of the mules bottom. They also found several electric toasters, which you have admitted were also part of the unsuccessful extraction process, although it remains unclear what use they would have been. You were subsequently convicted of smuggling cocaine at Luton Crown Court, and jailed for five years. You are now seeking leave to appeal on the grounds that the jury acquitted you of possession of the drugs, and that this was inconsistent with their guilty verdict on the smuggling charge. However, we see no reason why the two verdicts should be regarded as logically inconsistent,
and therefore dismiss your application for permission to appeal against conviction. (Bedfordshire on Sunday, 19/6/2005. Spotter: Garrick Alder

Here's One Just For Our Deane Innit
"To kill someone for stealing from you can sometimes be justified," Zhu Huimin told reporters outside a Beijing courtroom, "but to kill them for stealing something imaginary from you is ridiculous, as well as morally wrong. My son had only stolen a cyber-sword in an internet game, yet as a result, Qiu Chengwei broke into his house and stabbed him to death. Life imprisonment is not enough. We want Qiu to die, and die immediately"
Earlier the Beijing court had passed a suspended death sentence (effectively life imprisonment) on forty-one-year-old Qiu Chengwei for the murder of twenty-six-year-old Zhu Caoyuan. "Qiu and Zhu used to play a popular online game called 'Legend of Mir 3,' the prosecutor explained," and Qiu had won a cyber-sword called the 'dragon sabre.' Zhu persuaded Qiu to lend the virtual weapon to him by transferring it to his computer, but he then refused to give it back, and sold it to another competitor for 7,200 yuan. Qiu complained to the police, but they told him there was nothing they could do, because the sword did not really exist, and there is no law in China to protect virtual property. So in frustration, Qiu attacked Zhu at his home, stabbing him in the chest with great force and killing him."
Later, Law professor Wang Zongyu of Renmin University called for a change in the law, saying "the armour and swords won in online games should be deemed to be private property, because players have to spend time and money to obtain them." But a lawyer for a Shanghai-based internet games company urged caution, arguing that "these cyber-weapons are just data created by game providers. They don't really exist at all, at all." The finest peice of graffiti I ever saw was many years ago in this very town sprayed onto a wall on a bridge underpass:
To be contemporary is to look ahead, not around."
But how old were you Deano when you stood back to admire your art work? The most profound line I've seen sprayed here was outside the dole office once, and read "Depression sets in," written in English strangely enough too? wunnit
I upgraded my internet speed earlier, it's so bloody fast now, I can hardly write quick enough, I hope I don't make any mistakes !°!!

P.S. Having had about 5 long term (3-8 years)good happy 'lucky' relationships in my little life to-boot (plus a few smaller ones in-between), I'm always amazed how an ex partner, or friends; male or female, always just after splitting up; are in no time again full of beans with somebody new without hardly a break to get to know themselves in-between? It's probably fear of being alone, stupidity, blindness, or just sheer financial need in some cases, though always a mistake I reckon! A great shame though I feel to waste periods of ones life (if you are so inclined to honestly want to know your true self at some point that is?). Irrespective of who one is, Mother of five kids, or father, or happy successful beautiful 'young' thing 'like me', and if you can't close your eyes of an evening before going to sleep, and feel comfortable with yourself alone 'as you are alone then' (even next to somebody), then you never will be, until those moments near to your death, and it'll be too late at that point in time, and you'll be afraid instead of the opposite, innit

Who wants to be lonely Berlin?
Posted on: 10 October 2005 by Berlin Fritz
You are only lonely when you fear knowing yourself and continue to put off the inevitable, you know it makes sense.
'Being at peace with ones-self even'
P.S. Don't try this at home kids, these are only my own thoughts and experiences, and being alone with ones-self, is not the same as being lonely in a crowded city, innit
