NAPS/FLATCAP MATCHING PROBLEM

Posted by: monkfish on 04 February 2002

My system is active and consists of,
LP12/GRACE/SUPEX/CD5/32.5/NAXO3-6/3X250/ISOBARIKS.
I am expecting delivery of a Naim factory serviced SNAXO 3-6 this week and my problem is thus. There is a FLATCAP 2 powering the 32.5 and the CD5 and an older NAPS powering the NAXO at present but when the new crossover arrives I am not sure of how best to utilise the power supplies for maximum sound quality (I realise another FLATCAP or better still a HI-CAP would improve things immensely but I'm short of funds right now)Also can any member advise on the best place to sell the NAXO and NAPS (if I'm not using it).
Thanks
Jim

If you are short on funds, sell the flatcap, the naps, 2 * 250 and the NAXO and buy 2 Hicap or also sell the CD5 and buy a CDX and a HICAP, on both option you should have enough left to change for a 72.
Don't go active until source and pre are top.
