Antonio live recording 13th June

Hi

We're going to be recording Antonio Forcione live, both for a CD and a DVD, this Tuesday 13th June. The recording will take place at

Trinity Theatre
Tunbridge Wells
Church Road
Kent TN1 1JP

Tickets to attend are free and on a first come first served basis, available from the box office: 01892 678678. Doors 6.30, be in your seat by 7pm.

There are only a few tickets left.

Anna,

Will you be producing DVDA?

Will the DVD have an LPCM soundtrack?

Hi

There are currently no plans to release a DVDA.

The CD will be LPCM. We are still discussing whether the DVD should have an LPCM option. I'll provide more information on these details nearer the time of release.

I was lucky enough to be there and it was a great evening. Antonio and the band were sensational as always and as a bonus we got a short warm-up from comedian Boothby Graffoe.

It was fascinating to be part of a live recording, even if we were threatened with a fate worse than death if we left our seats during the 75 minutes of recording (the pint in the bar beforehand was nice but, with hindsight, possibly not such a good idea).

Antonio's choice of material was just right, and I can't wait to see what it all looks like on dvd. I understand this will be in a couple of months and it should be well worth the wait.
Thanks to Anna and all at Naim for getting this event organised. I gather it took around a year of planning and a lot of hard work by all involved.

If you can persuade the 'powers' to include an LPCM soundtrack I would be grateful.....it's what I look for on music DVDs I buy.

Yes Chris, I agree it was a fantastic performance. I was the one in the blue shirt at the start who took up the offer to move down to row 3 to fill up an 'empty seat'. For this I got an applause from the audience - in reality, I didn't have to think too long or hard about that decision!
I'm very much looking forward to seeing the video...and I also hope they got the sweat on Adriano's face just right for the track re-shoot!!

M - The LPCM issue is a space one really, as this is an uncompressed stream it takes up a lot of MB. If we can fit high quality video, Dolby/DTS 5.1 and a PCM stream onto it, we will.

H - We are hoping that the CD will be available by August, the DVD will be hot on its heels, probably September.
