Aston Martin back in British hands

Great news if it's true, but it appears that it is a consortium 'headed' by a Brit and backed by a Texan and some Kuwaitis. Ford also retain a stake.

So maybe not as British as it seems.

British? Richards may be the Chairman but he is backed by Middle Eastern cash and the recent 'recovery' of the company into some sort of profit has been lead by a German (Ullrich Bez) who is apparently staying.

What counts is the style and character etc of the marque, not the nationality of the backers. AM did not seem 'American' under Ford.

I do wish all the news stories would stop going on about bloody James Bond!
I think we need to show our support and all buy one. I like the Vantage personally.
