New purchases

Well, I didn't bother with 50 cents in the end.

I did however get 'Susumu Yokota: Grinning Cat' which is very laid back ambient. I havn't heard it all yet as I had to bang on my second purchase: 'Underworld Live: everything everything' I had the opportunity to see them live last year but didn't how I am regretting it.

Oh and I got Kylie, because you have to really. Although the recording is a bunch of poo.

Gary,

Thank you for helping to get Kylie to No. 1 even if the recording is poo.

Kylie has now had more hits than Madonna!

I had to explain to my in-laws this weekend, after seeing me buy the Dannii remix CDs that I could not possibily wait until Christmas for the new Kylie CD as an Xmas present, as I would be in physical pain if it was in a shop and I didn't immediately buy it and listen to it.

Let's all get together

Picked up Tim Buckley "Live at the Troubadour '69" and J.J. Cale "Number 10".

My first disc by either of these artists. Jury is still out on the Tim Buckley (a mix of some really pretty music and some really annoying noise), but the Cale is in heavy rotation.

Thanks to the wonders of both Epitonic and Ebay I now have on their way:

Spacer - The Beamer
Ian Simmonds - Return to X

I am espcially looking forward to Spacer as I like this kind of electronica, and both for leass than a new CD, lovely.

I have upgraded Kylie's recording OK. I was just hoping for prodigeous bass out put but there just ain't any.

And before the 'SBLs don't have bass' stuff kicks in, other music does have just the levels of bass I deserve!

Regarding Susumu Yokota: Grinning Cat.

I rapidly got tired of it, and on the second play its actually rather grating.

Gary,

A bit of a pattern developing here?

Love it ...(wait a day ) ... it's dull ... (wait a day) ... hate it ?

What do you do with all these cast offs ?

ITC - Hawkwind - Live somewhere, probably Brixton

Nick Spacer just arrived, hard to classify. Boardering on Techno, but not quite, very distinctive and this one is definatly a grower!

Ian Simimonds seems in a similar vein to the jazz influenced electronica I have been doing.

Both are on Epitonic.

I think you might like Spacer

I have decided its a cross between Timo Maas and Funkie Porchini.
