Great.

Does it work?

Well OK, not available until march or so, but assuming it was priced to compete like the others they have released, it could make a great tablet for control.

No iPod touch / iPhone app then?

Hi Garyi,

Thanks for the info, very interesting potential solution

I've been using an extra tablet pc we had leftover from work as my interface. Main issue with these devices is battery life. Mine has 2-3 hours, not really convenient for long listening so I have it plugged into the wall all the time and use an extension cord to the table. When not in use sits in the docking station. Great size interface and the ability to use a wireless mouse or a touch screen stylet is nice.

As a "stand alone" device meaning not need to plug into a wall or docking station you really need a minimum of 4 hrs and preferably a minimum of 5-6 hours for real convenience.

Gary, I assume you are sans kids or wife.

2 hours battery life would be more than enough for me!

No, and that's the iPod's fault for not supporting Flash, along with many other phones.

That's why I was hoping by having a dedicated app it wouldn't rely on flash. Unless the apps still utilise flash?

Rip to WAV, play in iTunes, use your iPhone.

Remote app is free. Mac Mini for $400. Lavry for $1000. Iphone for $200. Done deal.

LOTS of money left over for CDs!!!!!!! The point of all the equipment.

So few seem to get the point...

Some people can afford the equipment and the music.

Garyi: Half right. The other half on the way! Smile

PC: Been there and done that. Price is great, music is not.

I do not think that you have tried the Mac/Lavry DA10 combo. Extrapolate judgement from a PC settings sometimes is narrow-minded.

Lets not start this one up again. Differing views and opinions - lets leave it at that Smile

QTT, you've obviously missed all the threads with differing opinions about the Lavry with numerous combinations of source, drivers etc... As James said differing opinions and yes I have heard it with a MAC.

In that case, I apologize for jumping to a conclusion.
