Among all the diversions of modern life, I reckon that print still provides something unique, and also free of pressure from others...
Currently I am half way through the first volume (of six) of Churchill's 'The Second World War.' And for fun I am also reading Geoffrey Trease's 'Poppinjay Staires.'
Sincerely, Fredrik

I'm paralell reading:
Marian Keyes - Anybody out there.
and
Dan Brown - Deception point.
So it's on girly and one blookish at the same time. Marian Keyes is as excepted, it's about the next youngest daugher in the quazi dysfunctional family this time. The Dan Brown one is actually much better than the silly Jesus story.

I am reading this : 9/11 Synthetic Terror: Made in USA
(I have checked with the publishers, an Imam and the Department of Homeland Security and they all inform that reading this book does not make me a muslim or supporter of Islamic terrorism.)
Author's interesting website Here.

Reminded me of my trip to Peru and Bolivia many years ago, but without the motorbike. A decent read if you have a connection with the subject, either political, medical or geographical.

Yes, I dont always agree with Dawkins but I certainly agree with much of what he has to say in this book and he writes very well indeed.

Kurt Wallander novels
1 The Pyramid 1999
2 Faceless Killers 1991
3 The Dogs of Riga 1992
4 The White Lioness 1993
5 The Man Who Smiled 1994
6 Sidetracked 1995
7 The Fifth Woman 1996
8 One Step Behind 1997
9 Firewall 1998
10 The Return of the Dancing Master 2000

Tommy Cooper book - heavy going to start with. The author seems to be up his own backside trying to make the book and his theories more important than the subject. Once Tommy appears it gets bettwe.
HNY to you too!

Theodore Dalrymple - Life at the Bottom: The Worldview That Makes the Underclass.
And at the same time: Brian Greene - The elegant universe.
Somehow the last book is pretty tough to go through once finished halfway. Perhaps I should check a Dutch version or just watch the dvd...
