And It's Goodnight From Me!

Dear Friends,
I came to this Forum a few years ago looking to see what any members might have thought of the NAP 300. I had just borrowed one and thought it very fine indeed. As there seemd to be next to nothing about it here, where everything was really on the biggy, the 500, or the oldy, the 250, I wrote what I thought of the newbie, the 300. That was my first Thread.
Over the years, I have read a good deal here, and was tempted to get SBLs purely on the say so of some SBL nuts. I became an SBL nut!
Most recently I started a Thread on the Hi-line which I consider a masterpiece. I am going to try to get one.
I have also tried to enliven the Music Room, with diverse posts, and Threads. But I made a terrible mistake in typing a post, and have lost all confidence in my ability to not potentially make such a mistake again.
Really what I am saying, and mean it, is adieu, dear friends. I try very hard to be gentle, nice and polite, but I am a typo disaster area. Everything I have written has been offered in good part, but it is time to leave it in safer hands.
I am perfectly alright, and shall be. Those who have my email can be sure of receiving the odd note now and again, but my time here on the Forum has run its course, and I would not want anyone to worry about me. I am fine enough. Not my best maybe, but fine.
There is no hard feeling, but a certainty that he fun has gone out of it for me.
So I wish all my friends a lovely time, and wish everyone here, one last time:
All the best from Fredrik

Fredrik you plonker

Your endearing typos are all part of your very great charm. You are the star of the music forum, your views are greatly respected in the hifi forum and you bring politness, respect, tolerance, knowlege and intelligence to the rubber room.
You are a Naim forum institution so get a grip and stop being a wally.
I consider you a friend and would like to be considered a friend by you, so I don't apologise for saying what must be said publically if necessary.
I don't have a clue what heinous typo you are referring to but unless it is a hanging offence I really dont see what the hell is the problem. To err is human. I am sure you have done nothing so outrageous that you can not be forgiven.
You have many friends here Fredrik.

Maybe Nime made a typo too!

Steve
PS Fredrik, all the best for the future, but the way I see it, you made an innocent mistake, and the system protected you.

It could have been worse. ie a PUNCTUATION ERROR!

Fredrik - It's just an internet forum. People are almost required to be abusive, patronising and ignore everyone else's comments, so this place, in comparison with most, is like the Gentlemans Lounge at the local Masonic Temple. There is nothing you could do to warrant what you clearly feel (I have, however, no idea of any "crime" you think you are guilty of) and I think you should stay. Whatever it is you think you've done, I'm sure I've done worse on a weekly basis.

Fredrik,
Let me add my name to those who want you to stay - the place wouldn't be the same wihtout you.

Yes, stay, or in reality do what you want to!
You seem a very decent type to me either way

Fredrik,
Don't make me come over to Hereford to change your mind. I am starting to think more about classical music after reading your messages.
If anyone has been having a go at you for minor mistakes just think how well they would be able to discuss things with you in a language other than Emglish.

No one is having a go at me for making a mistake. I can do that for myself...

Dear Fredrik,
Please, please, please stay! The music room alone will be significantly duller otherwise (I am already missing your input on my 'concert hall' thread).
As to mistakes, at the end of the day, the software caught it so there's really no need for any embarrassment whatsoever.
regards, Tam

Please, please Adam: Install a spelling and grammar checker.
Seriously, I enjoy your posts and appreciate your perspective even if I'm simply lurking and not actively posting.
Go if you must, but we'd rather you stay!

And what of your Biblical Swine?
Surely the last word has not been penned.
I've been out of the loop for a page or two but ready to jump back in.
You can't just leave it to Erik, Rube, Joe90 and the gang? We need your input!!
(I frantically searched for that thread just after posting, afraid it was the "offending" thread and lost to cyberspace entropy at the stroke of Adam's little finger... Whew! Still there.)

Fredrik
Please don't leave the forum - your posts are invaluable and have helped me understand far more about music.
I make lots of typos - so I understand. I even have been known to lose the odd 'Not' from a sentence.
Your recent input has been as inspiring as ever. I found 'Tuning In Baroque Times' and 'Record Library' great posts to read and more informative than articles I read in magazines. To me your positive and enthusastic approach coupled with your knowledge is fantastic.
I hope you will continue to post.
Best regards, Rotf

Worth noting, my browser (omniweb on the mac) automatically checks my spelling as I type, I'm sure there are other browsers that can do this with forms. Computers can't properly check grammar.

Fredrik, you can't be serious. Leaving the forum because of a spelling error?
I'll add my voice to those of the others in saying that I enjoy your posts very much. The forum would be the poorer for your absence.

Fredrik dear friend, although I'm relatively new to the forum, you quickly spot who's opinion is worth taking note of; your's is one of them.
Stick around.

Fredrik
Have a look at what I wrote in Biblical Swine
Does it make sense?

Tip, if you are going to leave a forum, always tell everyone about it rather than drifting off quietly into the night. Then you get lots of nice supportive posts!

Fredrik
You are one of the last few civilised beings to populate this forum. You stand head and shoulders above the plebs who use smilees and your taste in equipment and music is impecable.
You are a yardstick for lesser plebs to measure themselves against and improve their presentational skills, so stay put.
Regards
Mick

Steady on Mick...no need to insult us "plebs" you know.
You're probably right though; I disappeared for 6-7 months and nobody bleedin' noticed!
